My best attempt to imitate globe-trekker. At first glance this film seems insignificant, until you listen carefully. The steepness of the hill was not captured on film. My batteries died once I passed the creek.

I can't believe how green it is there. I continue to have this image of Ethiopia as total desert, probably from all of the media images of famine. I read recently that Mitochondrial Eve (see Wikipedia) originated from this region of Africa, so perhaps in this video you are hiking through what was once the Garden of Eden.
